Shanghai Jiao Tong University is a university spanning three centuries, with a strong foundation in science and engineering disciplines and a thriving development in liberal arts. As a teaching building, the East Lower Building accommodates the teaching and self-study functions of the school's faculty and students. The thematic concept of the cultural construction of the East Lower Building's space aims to find the intersection of science and art, making the public space of the teaching building a series of poetic moments embedded in the daily campus life of teachers and students.
